My niece Gretchen, Tommy's daughter, married her soulmate in Santa Rosa, Ca on October 15. They were in the same class at their high school but did not know each other well then. Over 20 years later they met again and fell in love...and it seems like a perfect match!
The wedding was held at a place called The Bridal Patch...which was also a stable. That is so fitting because Gretch was always a horse girl! A stable and wedding venue combined...with gorgeous grounds: beautiful gardens, a pond, a bridge, and a gazebo. Unfortunately I did not get any outdoor photos because it was pouring down rain and it was all we could do to keep ourselves dry under our umbrellas much less camera equipment! Gretchen told me she has wanted to get married in that gazebo since she was a young girl...so no rain was going to stop her! It did not stop any quests from witnessing it also...and it was short but sweet...and really beautiful. I wished I had brought my camera to photograph it...the bridal party and bride arriving under matching umbrellas was a site to see! Such good sports!
Fun reception with wonderful family style sit down dinner at each table...lots of wine...and music. We all had a great time!
