On the Road in Cuba 11/12 - maggiekelstrom

After our tour of Old Havana in the morning of day two, we started our road trip on a small bus, made in China by the way, which just fit the twelve of us. It was relatively comfortable and that is good because we had a few long stretches during the tour. Our guide, Valeri, would help break it up with interesting stops here and there. Our first overnight stop was Cienfuegos. Along the way we stopped at a cenote and the Bay of Pigs monument.

We arrived late to Cienfuegos to our homestays, and all went out to dinner. Next day we visited a little in Cienfuegos before travelling on to Trinidad, stopping in Santa Clara to see the Che monument, and after two nights in Trinidad continued on for two nights in Vinales before returning to Havana on day seven.
